Griffin developing radio SHARK HD
Apple peripheral giant Griffin Technology announced plans today to develop radio SHARK HD, an HD variant of their popular, fin-based, time-shifting radio SHARK device. Coupling a memorable design (uh, it's a shark fin) with a digital AM/FM tuner -- delivering near CD-quality FM and near FM-quality AM -- and a software package for recording off radio and syncing to an iPod, we imagine content owners must be thrilled with the announcement. To pacify the suits, Griffin will add the ability to purchase songs heard on digital radio through the iTunes Music Store ... which we're absolutely positive is going to be a popular feature. No word on pricing, but the radio SHARK HD should be poking its fin above water this summer.[Via Your Tech Weblog]

I may buy the next version. The reviews on the first one were 50/50. They should have the kinks worked out now.

This is misleading, I read the headline and thought it would be an HD Radio tuner, which I would totally buy in a heartbeat, but this isn't worth it since I already have an FM tuner on my PC. Is there any chance of an HD Radio device being released for the PC?

I've got the original 1... would be nice if tech support would explain what I can do to get streaming of audio over my lan working since typing my ip address and open port seems to not work.

What are you talking about, Mike? It IS an HD Radio tuner. I'll definitely buy it!

'this summer' in Griffin talk means 2years... serioulsy the slowest company to bring products to the market.
I pre-ordered the origianal radio shark when it was announced ant it took, no joke, 1yr 1/2 to ship.
